Placing safeguarding, individual wellbeing and mental health at the forefront of what we do, we offer a 1:1 mentoring service that focuses on the whole child.

Our purpose: To re-engage young people and support their development both personally, educationally and build vital inter-personal and intra-personal skills.

How?

By using research evidenced strategies to support young people and their development. However, the over-arching Endeavour 360 philosophy is by following the N.E.U.R.O Pathway as a basis for all sessions.

Nutrition, Exercise, Unwind, Restore, Optimise

By using these five pillars, each session we have with a young person can increase their level of enrichment and education; which in time will develop their self-confidence, awareness and self-esteem, with the ultimate goal of re-igniting their spark, interests and passions in life.

Utilising the local area and communities, students will engage in a wide variety of activities and tasks when with Endeavour 360, including but not limited to:

  • physical activity and exercise

  • cooking and nutrition

  • creative activities

  • cultural capital activities (such as historical sites, museums and exhibits)

  • life skill work

  • PSHE and SEMH development.

Re-engaging

Collage of forest scenes: close-up of green moss, a tall tree with sunlight, tree bark with a hole, fungi on wood, and a person walking in the forest.

Our initial engagement meeting gives us the opportunity to individually assess each student and starts our process of re-engaging. From here we aim to build a safe, positive environment in order to build positive rapport and trust with each student, and in turn other young people and mentors.

Nutrition

Evidence shows that good nutrition supports development of mind and body, hence our choice to include this in sessions. In our cooking and nutrition sessions, we gently encourage students to explore and develop healthy habits, laying the foundation for future self-care. These workshops are spaces of discovery, aimed at nurturing confidence and the ability to make informed food choices with ease.

Exercise

We offer bespoke activities suited to every students individual fitness levels, aimed at developing their current skills as well as new ones; whilst sparking interests through exposure to different opportunities. From hiking and orienteering to mountain biking, fitness training, paddle boarding, swimming, and climbing, we encourage students to have an open mind and try everything there is to offer. This approach supports the development of fitness throughout students sessions as it helps to:

  • boost self-esteem

  • give a feeling of satisfaction

  • focus the mind and release stress

By offering a broad spectrum of activities, we not only build upon the skills students already possess but also introduce new skills and fitness practices that align with their interests. This comprehensive approach fosters increased self-confidence, self-motivation, the formation of positive lifelong habits, and the opportunity to enhance social skills.

Unwind

Connection, a sense of belonging - an important and often overlooked core need. Here we encourage self-regulation, relaxation and calm through getting out, and in touch with nature.

We use a variety of mindfulness techniques to teach students about self-regulation and self-control. By practicing mindfulness techniques, it places an onus on us to reflect, de-cluttering the mind and making us more open to repairing and developing ways to move forward. It can boost levels of emotional intelligence and in turn, self-confidence.

Restore

Developing healthier habits by using creativity and creative problem solving to support relaxation and a calming environment.

Time spent away from devices such as phones, tablets and games consoles is hugely important, here we promote conversation and social interaction alongside learning how to be comfortable with silence and independence in your own thoughts.

Optimise

Making the most out of every opportunity. We encourage students to take the opportunity to learn in whatever sense that may be during any particular session. Developing a drive to succeed at the task at hand, learn from our mistakes and embrace them as opportunities for growth. Endeavour 360 lives and breaths a “Growth Mindset” and we aim to support the development of this is in each of our students.
